Description:
The OBKF is a large kite festival with activities predominantly for school-age children. There is no charge for admission, parking, or kite activities.
Activities include free children’s kite making, kite flying for all skill levels, dazzling sport kite ballets by world-famous champion kitefliers, kite-flying lessons, many kite-related contests with prizes, and other fun for children such as free jump house and inflatable obstacle courses.
A craft fair with a variety of vendors and food trucks are also available in the park on Ocean Beach Kite Festival day.

Directions:
From the North: take I-5 South to Sea World exit, turn right onto Sea World Drive, go 2 miles, after crossing the San Diego River turn left onto Nimitz Blvd. at the first signal,at the next signal turn right onto West Point Loma Blvd., go 1/2 mile to the next signal, turn right onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd., go 1/4 mile to the Dusty Rhodes parking lot entrance on the right.
From the South or East: Take I-8 West to its end at the signal, turn left and stay left toward Nimitz Blvd., at the first signal turn left onto Nimitz Blvd., at the next signal turn right onto West Point Loma Blvd., go 1/2 mile and at the next signal turn right onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd., go 1/4 mile to the Dusty Rhodes parking lot entrance on the right.
