A Kite festival sponsored by the NY Dept of parks. On pier 1. Over one hundred free kites will be given away by NUC Parks Dept. Kites may be flown on the pier. Bring your own kite or get one from the onsite kite vendor. Event hours 11:00 to 5:00PM

Comments:
The wind is usually good at the far end of the pier. It has been known to change direction mid-afternoon.
