National Kite Month
Description:
I will be conducting a STEM kite workshop for two classes that are pulled together. One is a 7th grade pre-Algebra class and the other is an 8th grade Physical Science class. Participants will build a kite, calculate area in sq. inches, convert to sq. ft., find their weight in grams, convert to pounds, and use a formula to figure out how much wind is needed to fly the kite. They will make Eddy kites.
