Description:
Saint-Honoré dans l’Vent International kite festival will be held June 16th to 18th at Saint-Honoré local airport, in Saguenay. Over the years, the festival has become the biggest event of it’s kind in Quebec. Guests kite flyers from Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, the US and Canada will be attending as well as many talented local kite enthusiasts. Stunt-kites, inflatables, giants, power and indoor kites are just a few of the variety of kites that the public will come to see.
The event is well known for it’s numerous family activities including: inflatable games, mascots, kite building workshops and scientific experiences about air, wind and meteorology.
Friday night, the town of Saint-Honoré will lighten up for the opening night presenting an outdoor supper and concerts, with breathtaking fireworks as the finishing note. Saturday night, a ballet of kites in the nights will be presented on music themes of “Heros from the sky”. A unique experience that everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime!
