Description of Event:
The North Coast Championship is a Ballet only Sport Kite Competition in conjunction with the Cleveland International Kite Festival. This is a Midwest Conference Event for 2018 AKA competition points.
Edgewater Park is located on Lake Erie. Registration fee will split the sanctioning fee by among competitors in Masters and Experienced and a minimum $5 fee for Novices per person and Waivers signed with their choice of Class will be handled on-site. All Ballets will be flown Open Class, Competitors will recieve individual awards by their chosen Class. If necessary heats will be flown.
Pilots Meeting will begin at 8:30 Saturday and Sunday.

Competition begins promptly at 9AM, have your kites and music ready by 8:30.
Edgewater is a large open park and has no power lines to deal with. Burke Lakefront Airport, is within 5 miles, however the field is not in their flight path. OSEK, the local kite club running the festival have an agreement with the airport to not fly above a 500’ height limit.

From the West, Follow I-90 E to W 73rd Pl in Cleveland. Exit from US-20 E/US-6 E.
From the East, Follow I-90 W to Cleveland. Take the exit toward Whiskey Island/Edgewater Park from US-20 W/US-6 W.
From the South, Follow I-71 N to Denison Ave in Cleveland. Take exit 244 from I-71 N. Take W 65th St and W 73rd Pl to your destination
