Once again, Neshotah Beach in Two Rivers is the place to be this Labor Day Weekend. The 12th Annual Kites Over Lake Michigan, brought to you by our Title Sponsors Fox Communities Credit Union and Shoreline Credit Union, will be held there on Sept. 2nd and 3rd, 2017.This is one of the largest kite festivals in the Midwest, attracting kitefliers and people from all over the country. Those who come will be treated to some incredible displays of giant show kites of every type and size, precision stunt teams performing amazing aerial ballet with their kites, spectacular and colorful ground displays and activities for kids and the public both days.The fun does not stop at the end of the day on Saturday because we will have a mass release of Sky Lanterns followed by a Fireworks Show finale, weather permitting. Sky Lanterns will be available for sale at the beach and UFO, and only 100% bio-degradable Sky Lanterns will be allowed to be released there. Those with metal wires and candles will not be allowed. On Sunday morning, we will have free kite making for kids from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.There will be a shuttle bus service from the Two Rivers High School to the beach for both days.
