Family Kite Festival with demonstrations of kite flying by area kite clubs, open areas for public flying, vendors, food, parking. Free to the public. There are a limited number of free kites for children.

Directions:
From I-81 take exit 137 to US 11 - Lee Highway. On Lee highway go south to Diuguids Lane and turn left. Cross the rail road tracks and the Roanoke River and turn into the park.
