Description:
Kite Day is a day that will be celebrated in recognition of Forsyth manufacturing the kit string used to fly kites, in the late 1950’s. Trio Manufacturing, located at in Forsyth, discovered a strong yarn that they could wind up into kite string made our of rayon. The kite string was made to be sold to a kite manufacturing company named the Hi-Flier Manufacturing Company, in Decatur, Illinois.

Come out to the park and have a day of fun flying a kite. Celebrate Kite Day! Bring your kite, a picnic basket, and enjoy the park, Food Vendors, Inflatables and Splash Pad (if weather permits) while you are there.
