Description:
The biennial Cherry Valley Kite Festival will be held for the 7th time this September. Held in a beautiful and historic village in upstate New York the flying field is located on a pre-revolutionary war era farm field with fantastic and unencumbered views of the fall foliage
Many flyers have been returning year after year to enjoy the small town atmosphere and warm hospitality.
The event opens with a kite building workshop and an Indoor Fly on Friday evening. There is a Kid’s Kite building workshop on Saturday morning. The all-day outdoor fly includes Running of the Bols, Rokkaku battle, Team flying demonstrations, a candy drop and more. The event features live music and a huge variety of wonderful food.
All fliers are invited to a Saturday evening thank you dinner hosted by Cherry Valley Artworks.

Comments:
Flyers really love the spirit and atmosphere of this event and many have returned year after year. They are warmly welcomed by the entire community. Past events have brought out over 1,500 spectators.
