The 2nd annual Bayou Road Balloon Festival will be held on Veterans Day weekend, November 9-11, 2018. Located in the oaks of Sidney D. Torres Memorial Park in Chalmette, LA, the festival will feature multiple hot air balloons creating a spectacular “night glow” each evening along with tethered rides (weather & wind permitting). The stage and festival grounds will be packed with local and national musicians showcasing the vibrant communities of St. Bernard Parish. Carnival rides, midway games, food & beer booths, arts & crafts vendors, kite demos and art displays make this a can’t miss event!

Kewl Kites from Long Beach, MS will bring many professional kite flyers to the festival who will fly their kites, provide kite flying lessons and assist with family kite flying fun. The first 50 kids each day receive a free kite that they can put together, decorate, then fly. There will also be LED kite displays after the balloon glows each night. All kite flying is (weather permitting).
