There’s not a better way to welcome spring than at the Kite Festival. Bring your own kite or buy a kite here. Plan to spend the day flying kites, shopping local vendors, eating great food and listening to good music. Bring your chairs or blankets and plan on staying the day. BBQ grills not allowed at this event.Soaring kites! Colorful kites! Majestic kites! Come join this free, fun, family event. Whether you’re flying or watching kites, get outside with your family and enjoy all of the exciting outdoor activities the festival has to offer!10 am – Event StartsPledge of Allegiance Free Family Fun Live Music Community Booths Free Kids Activities Food Booths3 pm – Event Ends4:30 – Gates will close so make sure your vehicles are out by then.Skip the traffic and ride your bike to the Kite Festival. Bike Friendly Arvada will have FREE valet bike parking at the bridge. Leave your bikes at their secure facility and enjoy the festival, return for your bikes and get information on this year’s rides and activities.

Directions:
1. From I-70 exit 267, north on Kipling St (1.2 miles) to 58th Ave. 2. West (left) on 58th Ave (.5 miles) Stenger Soccer Complex.
1. From I-70 exit 266, north on Ward Rd (1.7 miles) to 58th Ave (eastbound I-70 off-ramp takes you onto 44th Ave for a 1/2 block before getting to Ward Rd).
2. East (right) on 58th (1 mile) to Stenger Soccer Complex.
1. From Boulder (Table Mesa Rd), southeast on US-36/Den-Bldr Tpk (4 miles) to McCaslin Blvd (Superior exit). 2. South (right) on McCaslin Blvd (3.4 miles) to CO-128. 3. East (left) on CO-128 (.2 miles) to Indiana St. 4. South (right) on Indiana St (6.7 miles) to 64th Ave. 5. East (left) on 64th Ave (1.4 miles) to Ward St. 6. South (right) on Ward St (.7 miles) to 58th Ave. 7. East (left) on 58th Ave (.7 miles) to Stenger Soccer Complex.
1. From US-36/Den-Bldr Tpk (Broomfield exit), south on CO-121/Wadsworth Pkwy (8.1 miles) to Ralston Rd/58th Ave (Look for the Rt 121 S sign. There is not a sign for Wadsworth Pkwy) (US-36 & Rt 121 Wadsworth Pkwy

While there is a lot of free parking at Stenger field, we encourage those of you that can bike or walk to the event to do so. Gates open at 9:45 am.
