Description:
Fun fly & demonstrations, kite building for kids. Bring your big kites, lots of room! This is our 2nd year of this annual event, and we need your participation to grow! Also a number of other events on-site, including craft fair, NASA bottle rockets, Police & Fire Dept participation. Benefits "kids at risk" in the Houston area. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Directions:
George Bush park is a county park located inside the flood control area on the west side of Houston. This is just west of Hwy 6. From Hwy 6 and Westheimer, continue west on Westheimer for 1/2 mile, then turn right at the light to go over the levee. Go straight along the park road for about 1-1/2 miles, to the stop sign. The flying area is on your left. The flying area is at the Pavillions, located southeast of the stop sign, in the middle of the park. These are 3 large covered areas with seating, electricit
