Take the Long Island Expressway (I 495) east (into Nassau County) to exit 38( Northern State Parkway)Once on the Northern State Parkway, go to exit 31A for the (southbound - Jones Beach). The Meadowbrook Parkway leads right into Jones Beach. Pay the toll ($8.00 per car in summer, free before 7AM and after 6PM), go down to field 6 and park as far left as you can

The most beautiful beach in the Tri-State area, plenty of room and wind. Park in field 6 as far to the left as you can. Get there early in the summer becuase by 9AM it's full and they close the parking lot till at least 5PM. Keel walking to the left, and look for your fellow kite lovers.
