From the Philadelphia Museum of Art cross to the west side of the Schulkyl River on West River Drive. Turn left at light onto Montgomery Ave. Belmont Plateau is at the top of the hill on the right side. From US I-76 take the Montgomery Ave exit 2 miles north of downtown Philadelphia and head west/uphill. Belmont Plateau is on the right at the top of the hill.

Years ago this was the site of the Philadelphia Kite Festival. It is one of the highest clear spaces in the largest landscaped park in the U.S. Check out the view http://www.nlreep.org/eastwest.htm
