Description:
|
Buy a kite-making kit ($5 per kit) or bring your own to this beautiful 45 acre estate. Kite flying demonstrations and kite-making activities led by Archie Stewart, member of American Kitefliers Association (AKA) and Past Board Member and Chairman of Festivals and Competitions for Kites Over New England (KONE), the regional kite club for New England. Music provided by the Moody Street String Band. Snacks available for purchase. Free admission. Free parking. The fun begins at 1pm.

Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street, Waltham, MA, just off Route 20 (Main Street) near the Waltham/Watertown line. From I-95/Rte.128 take exit 26 to Route 20 East to Gore Street (approx 5 miles). From I-90/Mass Pike take exit 17 to Watertown Square. Take Route 20(Main Street)west to Gore Street (approx. 1-1/4 miles).
