The 19th annual Santa Barbara Kite Festival, overlooking Santa Barbara Harbor, is held on the West Campus lawn of one of the prettiest seaside community college campuses in California. The festival is a popular family style event welcoming fliers of all ages and abilities. The event features several categories receiving awards and prizes for participants including kite fighting, sport flying, highest flying, most beautiful, largest, smallest, and a tail chase held throughout the day for children. Admission is free and free parking at West Campus is plentiful.

Directions:

Northbound Hwy 101 to Santa Barbara. Exit Bath Street and follow signs to Castillo and Cliff. Take a right on Cliff to the college. Exit southbound 101 in Santa Barbara at Castillo. Turn right and go one block to Cliff. Turn right at Cliff and go up the hill to the college. Second college exit on your left.
