The Dixie Escalante Kite Festival is the culmination of a three month reading program conducted within all area elementary schools. Students who have successfully completed additional reading requirements earn a free kite which they are able to receive at the kite festival. Families are welcome, there are no entry fees. Multiple food vendors will be available as well as dozens of games and rides for children of all ages. Kite competition will take place for the serious flyers.

Take the Bloomington exit off of Interstate 15, proceed around the roundabout to southbound Pioneer. Proceed south on Pioneer until you reach SunRiver. The kite festival takes place upon the driving range of the SunRiver St. George Golf Course.
