The 17th annual FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL will be held Saturday, May 15 and Sunday 16th 2004. NOW 2 days long! Sponsored by WJZI, WLUM and WMCS Radio, Gift of Wings, and the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois. Featured performers include Chicago Fire for the first time, Josh and Zack Gordon, Charlie Sotich, St. Elmos Fire, Pegasus, MR. Kite, Jim Wirt, Mike Delfar, Paul Koepke, and the kites of Yves LaForest and Anne Clement. Veterans Park from 10 am until 6 pm. and is free with plenty of free parking. The Grand Launch of 500 kites will take place at noon. Rhonda Ronsman will sing the National Anthem. This event will be shown live on the Internet! Kites and food will be sold at the festival.
