Fireworks Kite Festival July 3, 2004. KSWI in Conjuction with Gift of Wings, US Bank and Clear Channel Communications will sponsor our annual Fireworks Kite Festival. Featuring the Giant Kites of Yves LaForest. This is a fun fly and all are welcome to participate. Our goal is to fill the sky with as many kites as possible. Times from 11:00 am until 6:30 PM, then 7:30 PM until the fireworks start at 9:25 pm. We have set aside a huge area of Veterans Park just for kitefliers. So fly a kite and get the best seats in the house for the greatest firworks show on Earth. Well...in my opinion, of course. Now understand that traffic and parking are a real mess for this event, so come early and don't plan on leaving until after the fireworks are finished at 10:15pm. In other words, plan your whole day in the park. It’s a blast...literally!!
