Mark your Calendars The Cleveland Kite Festival September 11 and 12, 2004 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days Edgewater State Park, off Rte. 2 west of the Great Lakes Science Center about a mile. LOTS TO DO: Bring your own kites or buy them from shops on the field! Make kites in the OSEK Workshop. Compete in Wind Sprints for kids of all ages, and a special Grandparents Wind Sprint on Sunday! Compete in a Fighter Kite Competition (American Rules)-Novice Class on Saturday, Advanced Class on Sunday. Learn to fly sport kites! Watch demonstrations, join in a Mass Ascension of Red-White-Blue (kite or tail or hang a flag on your flying line) kites on Patriot Day ( Sept. 11). Share the fun, bring the family, bring a picnic, and bring your battery operated fm radio to hear announcement on your own radio as well as from the sound system. (It’s a big park.) And bring Sunny Skies and Fair Breezes! Sponsored by OSEK to support kite workshops, talks, displays and education activities in Northern Ohio .
