7th Annual Blue Ridge Kite Festival. Hosted by Salem / Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce. This is a Family fun fly, with free admission, free parking, 500 free T-shirts, 1200 free kites to children (while supply last). Performances by the award winning: Richmond Air Force Kite Club. Food and craft vendors. A great time to be had by all
