The Tour De Kites continues……………………….. September, 2005..Milwaukee, WI LIVE ON THE INTERNET and LIVE AT VETERANS PARK…...MOTS 2005...27 GREAT YEARS! THE WORLD will be WATCHING US FLY! "The 27th Annual Frank Mots International Kite Festival.."Octopi in the Sky" will be held on Saturday, September 10th,& Sunday September 11th, 2005, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s Lakefront from 10:00 am until 6:00Pm each day. The Festivities will kick off at 12 noon with a grand launch of hopefully 500 kites. That’s right...two great days of flying. The event is sponsored by the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, and Gift of Wings, America’s Second Harvest and Joseph Campione famous garlic bread, Palermos frozen Pizza and Master Spas, and our newest media sponsors, WLUM Rock 1021, Smooth Jazz WJZI, and 1290am WMCS. Featured performers include Chicago Fire, Josh and Zak Gordon, Charlie Sotich, Team Pegasus, Dan Newman, Paul Koepke, Paula Schenk, !

The Mudslingers of the Milky Way, EOS, Something Old… Something New, Jim Wirt, Mike Delfar and the kites of Yves LaForest and Jean Lemire. Yves Laforest will feature 2 GIANT Octopi kites flying high over Milwaukee. WOW…He has two of them now, and they will be flying high over Milwaukee, along with the giant Teddy Bear, the Giant Windsock, and many other giant kites. The grand Launch of around 500 kites will take place directly at noon. The professional kite teams will start performing at 12:30 pm followed by the Kids Mad Dash at 2:00. Play the all new Kitedemonium Wheel and win a prize. See Roscoe from the Milwaukee Admirals, and Bango from the Bucks. Freeway to downtown Milwaukee, then I-794 east to Lincoln Memorial drive, then North to Veterans Park...Just look for all of the kites in the air to guide your way.

Bring your own kite or purchase a kite from Gift of Wings located in the park.....This is a huge kite festival so plan your day at the park.
