Let’s go fly a kite! Learn tips and tricks from local kite flying expert Mike Kory. He and his daughter Rose will showcase a variety of stunt kites during the first hour of the event. At 2:15, join us for our weathercaster kite-flying contest. Throughout the event, there will be flying contests, demonstrations of kite flying techniques, and more.
Feel free to bring your own kite. If you don’t have one, stop by the PrairiePlay picnic pavilion and make your own for free! Afterwards, head out to the meadow behind the playground and launch your creation
