LifeNets Up and Away Day will feature and highlight David Gomberg flying the "Largest Kite in the World" a 9,000 square foot American Flag. Free admission and open to the public! 10-4 pm Concessions and children’s activities at a minimal charge with all proceeds going to benefit needy children. The day will provide fun and excitement for many many underprivleged children and beautifully symbolize taking flight and rising above, (in their case) life’s extraordinary challenges. We are recruiting volunteers to sponsor a child with a kite to fly at the event. We have 3 areas to fly over. One for the BIG KITE, one for the professionals and one for the fun fly. We extend an open invitation to all kiters to join us. For LifeNet as an organization, this event will provide public awareness, media exposure, a significant opportunity for fund raising and further the accomplishments of our children’s program. LifeNet wants to make this event a unique / signature event in Dallas.
In case of rain the event will be held on the 12th.
