Description:
Dieppe Kite International was launched in the goal of organizing an exciting original event on an international level that encourages exchanges among French-speaking countries. Following the success of the Village de la Francophonie, the town of Dieppe saw a need to plan an event to promote the local region around the world.

The international event will bring together kite enthusiasts from around the globe and there will be kiting events throughout the week including a kid’s day kite, demos, rokkaku battles, kite creation competition based on the theme “Discover the Universe”, static displays, a night flight and various expositions.

Only in its third presentation, Dieppe Kite International will, in 2005, be the largest international kite festival in North America. This years event will include over 30 kite enthusiasts from 12 countries from around the world and over 50,000 visitors are expected on site.

In terms of community events, the 2005 Dieppe Kite International promises many great activities, highlighted by the Acadian Day celebration. Come and join us for the Acadian Day festivities on August 15th!
