Description:
|
There will be a 'make your own kite free' table as well as nature tables to check out. There will be bubble blowing and pie eating contests and free face-painting, and everyone who comes receives a souvenir button. Come join the fun any time between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The only cost is the $5 parking fee per car.

Directions:

It is located on Hwy. 152--20 miles east of Gilroy and 22 miles west of Los Banos. Turn south at the Dinosaur Point sign, then turn right, following the kites.

Comments:
|
Bring plenty of drinking water (as there is no water at Pacheco State Park) and sunscreen. There will be a hot dog vendor there, or bring a picnic lunch. Bring along clothes to cover sunny and hot to cool and windy. There will also be music and small prizes. You may want to bring lawn chairs to watch all the kites.
