ODSKC 99 In its eighth year, the Old Dominion Sport Kite Championships has attracted sport kite competitors from all along the east coast. This sport kite event is two full days of exciting competition in both precision and ballet, individual and team categories. The event is an Eastern League Sport Kite Association event.

Take I-64 east from Richmond VA to exit for Laburnum Avenue South. Continue south on Laburnum Avenue to Darbytown road. Turn left onto Darbytown Road. Dorey Park is approximately 1.5 miles on the right.

The headquarters hotel for the event is the Wyndham Garden Hotel at Richmond Airport, 4700 S. Laburnum Avenue in Richmond VA. To make a reservation, call 800-628-7601 and request the group rate for the Old Dominion Sport Kite Championships. The rate is $69 per night plus tax for two people through June 12; after that date, the rate is dependent upon space available. The hotel is three miles from the competition fields.
