Fly into spring at the Great St. Louis Kite Festival in Forest Park’s Central Field from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. In case of rain, the festival will be held Sunday, May 7. The eighth annual tradition provides the city of St. Louis a fun way to welcome spring with this free family event. The Great St. Louis Kite Festival offers family entertainment and enjoyment for people of all ages. The festival includes demonstrations by professional kite flyers from across the country, amateur kite flying activities, live music, entertainment, Animal Protective Association dog parade, contests and food.
