Newport 2000 Kite Festival is an annual three day event located along the ocean in beautiful Newport, RI. The festival consists of the New England Indoor Championships, the Newport Cup kite making competition, Fighter Kite competition and the Newport Sport Kite Championships (an Eastern League and AKA sanctioned event). We will offer the freestyle event. Other highlihhts are a night fly contest at the host Seaview Inn, a ground display contest and lobster banquet at Johnny’s House of Seafood.
