Description:
The Cleveland Kite Festival, presented by the Ohio Society for the Elevation of Kites, is an annual gathering of kite enthusiasts. This year’s festival participants may bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Cleveland Foodbank. In exchange for a food donation a free kite will be provided to fly at the festival. Highlights of the festival include: famous giant kites, award winning artistic kites, power kiting and buggy demonstrations, children’s windsprints and awards ceremony, rok team kite battles, mega-stack controllable kites, fighter kite demonstrations, individual and team sport kite ballets. Vendors will include a few kite stores and a refreshment shop.

Directions:
Exit Route 2 at Edgewater Park in Cleveland, Ohio. Route 2 runs along the Lake Erie shore and can be accessed from I-71 North, I-77 North and I-90 West. If traveling on I-90 heading East into Cleveland, exit at 117th street, go North to Clifton, go East on Clifton, stay in center lane, Clifton will turn into Route 2 heading East (Shoreway East), exit at Edgewater Park. Enjoy the day!

The closest moderately priced hotel is the Days Inn, 216-226-4800. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the field, located between Lake and Clifton near W. 120th in Lakewood.
