Description:
Come fly a kite at Cogswell’s Grant! Bring your own kite or build one of your own and watch professional kite flyers from Kites Over New England.
A limited number of kite-building workshops (courtesy of Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center) will be held with all materials included, where kids and adults can make their own kites and learn how to fly them. All workshop participants must wear a face mask while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
Free for flyers and spectators; $10 for kite-making workshop.

From Route 128, take Exit 50, turn onto School Street towards Essex and follow to junction with Route 133. Turn left on Route 133 west (Main St.), bear right at intersection of Route 22, then turn right onto Spring Street and follow to the end.

In addition to being a great place to fly kites the grounds are beautiful just for walking. It is an enjoyable day for all ages.
