[Oregon] This started life has a traction event for ice and snow when Mother Nature let’s us. The last few years it been a fun fly do to little snow and soft water. Either way we have fun, We set up a shelter for comfort plus we keep a big pot of soup going and the BSAF wienie bar and hot chocolate to help beat back the cold.

[Bethesda] An annual gathering of kite makers. This event is open to kite makers of all skill levels and includes sewn and non-sewn projects. So (or is that sew)plan on joining kite makers from across the continent for 3 days of camaraderie and kites. The retreat begins Friday night check-in (February 14th)and some food; and wraps up Monday by noon(February 17th).

[Long Beach] Known for their creative use of quilting techniques for kite designs, instructors John & Marzlie Freeman again guarantee that everone will make a "knock your socks off" butterfly kite. The $80 fee will cover all materials and expenses. Participants need to bring sewing machines, thread, and cutting tools.

[Saint-Placide] We organize the fifth edition of festi-vent sur glace, a kite festival at Saint-Placide in Canada. The next 15th and 16th february, more than 350 kitefliers amateurs and professionals will come from Québec, Ontario to fly their kites on the spectacular lake of two-Montains. Festi-vent sur glace is a big festival : each year 10 000 persons by day come to see the kiteflyers and the lake of two montains is extraordinary! The superficy of the lake is so big that we need spectacular kites to fill it up! Saint-Placide is at 1 hour from north of Montréal and the adress of our web site is http://www.Festi-vent.com.

[Devonport] New activity - kite-fishing is planned for Saturday afternoon, winds permitting. BBQ and auction on Saturday evening, festival on Sunday.

[Indianapolis] Kite making workshop held on the third Sunday each month through March. A different kite will be made at each workshop.

[Markleville] This is a sled kite building workshop to build inventory for the coming season. There will be a silent auction of kite items and also silent auction of a box lunch you bring. This box lunch will be auctioned to help raise money for the club. Do not put your name on the boxed lunch. Soft drinks will be furnished. I presume you should bring your own tableservice.

[Al Ain] Greetings from the United Arab Emirates! Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahayan, the Al Ain Fiesta is part of a 24 day festival which will run to March 21st and include the International Flower Show and Music Festival.

[Camp Hill] The Keystone Kiters monthly meeting be held on Thursday, March 27th, 2003, from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Camp Hill Borough Hall, 2145 Walnut Street, Camp Hill, PA, 17011. Meetings cover all areas of today’s kite flying sport and hobby. General business meeting is also scheduled. Anyone who has an interest in kites can participate. All levels of ability are represented. There’s even kite fliers/makers who have won prestigious awards in the kiting world in attendance. Come join the fun! Keystone Kiters meetings are free and open to the public.
