[Stephens City] A long-established, community supported, family day of kite flying! Leave your worries, bring the kids and camera. Admission is one smile per person.
The Richmond Air Force, with guests from Wings Over Washington, team with Kitebus Festivals to paint the sky with the colors of KITES! Demonstrations and music galore, with the much anticipated American Flag Ceremony. Events such as bol racing and kite buggy are subject to weather and safety conditions.

[Santa Barbara] The 28th annual Santa Barbara Kite Festival will take flight 11am-4pm, Sunday, April 14th, 2013. The festival will be held in the “Great Meadow” on the west campus of Santa Barbara City College. The blufftop lawn overlooks the beautiful Santa Barbara harbor and breakwater and is a perfect location for kite flying. Parking is plentiful on campus and admission to the festival is free.
The Santa Barbara Kite Festival is always a fun-filled family-style affair featuring kites of all sizes, shapes and colors. Flyers of all abilities are welcome.
Competitions range from “kite fighting” and “sport flying” for skilled flyers to the more accessible categories such as “most beautiful”, “highest flying”, and “largest kites”. One of the most popular events held throughout the day is the “tail chase” for children. Children in various age groups try to catch the tail of a kite as it dips and dives through the air. [Ocean City] The Maryland International Kite Exposition will feature three fun filled days of kite flying on the beautiful beaches of Ocean City, Maryland. Throughout the festival, there will be exhibitions and demonstrations including stunt and power kite lessons, free children's games and activities, and much more! The festival will showcase some of the best kite flyers from around the world. Kites of all shapes and sizes will be on display including some massive character and theme based kites. On behalf of The Kite Loft and The Town of Ocean City, we welcome everyone to join in the festivities. Bring your family for several days of good old fashion kite flying. Remember when we say “Go Fly a Kite”, we mean it.

[Fort Walton Beach] THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE AT OUR FLORIDA LOCATION
April 27-28 from 10am to 5pm - At Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island, Fort Walton Beach, FL. Come out and enjoy this two-day festival that will include demonstrations from professional kite flyers and learn to fly the great big trick kites. This festival will feature family-friendly fun for everyone to include kite contests, kite making, and other high flying fun activities. [Virginia Beach & Portsmouth] Last year we had awesome winds and kites painted the skies. Wow kite flyers it’s almost time for the 9th Atlantic Coast Kite Festival again this year in Virginia Beach and Portsmouth, VA. We open the kite festival with a get together at the Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center with live music, drinks and food not just for the kite festival attendees but open to the public. From there we work our way into fun for the whole weekend including a party Saturday night. This year, we again have a limited amount of hotel rooms for kite fliers and volunteers. Almost all meals are provided for flyers during the festivals and festivities Friday and Saturday nights. We also offer gas money to some coming in from far away (email for details). So, pack a car full of fliers, kites, volunteers and enthusiasts and join us.

[St. Johns] Visitors will be able to fly a kite (bring or make your own), jump on inflatables, take a wagon ride, ride the pony hops, run through bubbles, watch professional kite fliers perform with kite ballet or kite fights, plus enjoy face painting, learn to fly a kite, and more! Visitors who pay $5 (adult free with a paid child) will be able to fly a kite and the other included activities. All admissions will go to help finance the new community spray park at the St. Johns Main Park.
