Isla Blanca Kite Festival (Quintana Roo)
[Isla Blanca] This is a fund raising Fun event for Cancun Pro Kids. Cancun Pro kids is a orphanage for abused and abandoned children. We take them to the beach and show them how to fly a kite. They fly a kite they have made at a kite making workshop at the orphanage. The boys come one day and the girls the next. Donated kites are sold and raffled to raise money for the orphanage. Kite flyers from the US, Mexico, and other countries come and fly kites on the beach at Isla Blanca. The event is free to the public. Why not come and fly kites with us?.
           
[Denver] A Mile Hi Kite Club /RMKA meets every Sunday at approx. 10AM and we keep flying kites until mid to late afternoon.
           
[Austin] Texans celebrate the spring by flying every kind of kite imaginable and we’re doing it on Sunday March 1, 2015, in Austin, Texas. The ABC Zilker Park Kite Festival is an 86 year young single line competition. There is no admission or registration charge. The Zilker kite event typically draws a crowd well over 15,000. Everyone is welcome whether they fly their kite or just come to enjoy the hundreds of kites in the air and a great day in a beautiful park.
Competition is for single line kites but every kind of kite is welcome. Categories include largest, smallest, highest angle, steadiest, most unusual and strongest pulling. All ages are eligible to compete in categories for youth and adults. See our web page for events and rules. Trophies are awarded to first, second and third place winners. The Oldest and youngest competitors win trophies too. All kites entered must be home made.
Come on down and enjoy “Kite Day” - an event that is uniquely "Austintatious". While you are here, enjoy the SXSW music festival and other spectacular spring happenings in the “Live Music Capital of the World”. Rain date is Sunday March 8, 2015.

[Heber] 2015 Southern California Chinese Culture and Arts Fair & International Kite Festival will open on March 25, 2015. People from Weifang and Langfang, China, will fly kites in the first international kite festival.
The Kite Festival is from March 25th to 29th. Booths are open from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM everyday. The fun time is from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM everyday as well.

[Eureka Springs] A one day event for family fun and kiters

[Eureka Springs] The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge hosts a large kite festival each spring to raise money for the animals they provide for. There will be a kite vendor and a raffle for kite giveaways. Live music and food vendors. Admission to the Refuge is not included in the festival. Kaleidokites in Eureka is the sponsor of the event and will be there selling kites.

[Nags Head] Fly into Spring is a two-day kite festival on the dunes of Jockey’s Ridge. We’ll be flying big display kites as well as stunt and power kites, offering lessons, and kite making for kids. This event is free to the public.
Kite Fest (KS)
[Overland Park] Come out and enjoy kite flying every Sunday in April from 12:00 to 5:00. Bring your own kites or purchase them at the Leatherwood Depot at the Arboretum. Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food and drinks at the Arboretum. Enjoy additional activities for kids and a photo booth.

[Glenwood] Gather up your family and friends and come to Glenwood and join us for the Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic. Usually 100+ people attend but there is plenty of space without fences to tangle your kite strings and room to park for your tailgate picnic. Admission is free and there will be a free raffle drawing for a kite at 2.30pm, so be sure to pick up your raffle ticket on arrival at the gate with the labyrinth sign. While you are here and for a completely different experience, walk one or all five of the labyrinths at Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths.
TIME: 12 noon – dusk on Saturday 4th April 2015.
PLACE: Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths, 2nd house on the left after mile marker 3 on Route 159 off Hwy 180, between Glenwood and Alma.
BRING: your picnic, your kite, your laughter, your family and friends, your sunhat and something to sit on.
