[Ocean City] The AKA Convention is an annual five day gathering of kite enthusiasts, artists, and competitors. With roughly 500 members in attendance, the Convention ranks as one of the largest kite gatherings in the world. Convention activities include educational workshops, games, displays, and the Grand National kite competitions for kite making and sport kite flying. Committee and general business meetings are scheduled. Other highlights are the Great Kite Auction which offers unique and hard to get kite products and a retail FlyMarket for small vendors. The Convention is held in different locations each year and is scheduled in September or October. The gathering is only open to AKA members.)
 
   
[Livonia] The 4 Seasons Kite Club flies every Wednesday after work at Schoolcraft College from roughly 5:30 until weather, darkness, or hunger overtake us. The public is welcome to watch, chat, fly, enjoy, and join the club. We fly stunt kites, single line kites, fighter kites, and sometimes a buggy.
   
[Littlerock] Bring your kites and come fly with us during our 4th Fall Festival. There are prizes, games, live oldies rock band Firestorm and FREE lunch for everyone! We will be flying everything from giant deltas, Le Frogs, and more. It’s a great get together in the High Desert. Please join us.

Help kids build sled kites at this annual event. You'll see all kinds of military airplanes on display, climb an old control tower and visit the museum to sit in a fighter cockpit among other things. Both remote controlled airplanes and kites will be demonstrated throughout the day.

[Lincoln City] Come to the perfect place to fly your kite, "Latitude 45" in Lincoln City, Oregon. Among the activities include dual line demonstrations, beautiful single line kites, and colorful ground displays.

Don't care for the way an event is held? Speak up! This is the place to bring it to the club’s attention. Bring a dish for the pitch-in lunch AND something for the auction.
[Denver] Kite flying will take place on the east side of Sloan’s Lake Park. The kite flying area has no power lines in proximity and is 20-25 miles from the nearest airport. This is a recreational fly with fliers from children to adults. No competition. The kite flhying area is very large (1000' by 500') and will be divided for children, dual and quad kites, and large kites. We expect up to 200 fliers and will have three safety coordinators.

[Columbia] In keeping with the “One World One Sky” theme, the Kansas City Kite Club, Riverbreeze Kite Club of Jefferson City and the Gateway Kite Club of St. Louis will meet-up for a joint fly in Columbia, MO from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will have drive-up access to the field and use of a pavilion. Bring enough burgers or dogs for yourself and a dish to pass for a lunch break around 2 p.m.
           
[Cleveland] Open flying at Edgewater Park in Cleveland, Ohio from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm or so.

Family day, fun flying, memorial flying and cultural activities like group tai-chi.

Also in memorial of Professor George Leung, a UMass Physisc Professor who dedicated his life in promoting sino-american relationship. He also spent his later part of his life improving the Yellow River
         
[Atlantic Beach] This annual event is a fun fly with focus on participation. It is a family event with activities for all. We have no vendors or competitions-just lots of kite flying fun. Performances by the Bay Area Sundowners and the Big Kites of Gomberg Kite Productions add to the fun. Ample fields are available for everyone to fly their kites of all kinds.
         
[Walnut Creek] . Help us find ways to enhance your enjoyment of kiting, improve your skills, meet other fliers and experience new aspects of kiting. We need input, advice and guidance from you.

[Treasure Island] Event is take place on Treasure Island Beach (same location as 2000 AKA convention), directly behind the Bilmar Hotel. Activities will include Novice and Open Ballet competition, rok battle, kite demos, candy drop, mystery ballet, and trick shoot-out. Approximately 20 fliers in each event.
 
         
[Kokomo] Time: 5PM meet at the Golden Corral north of the Highways 26 & 31 intersection for dinner. Night fly will follow.
