[Jakarta] special event everybody can see the leaves kite, kite from all Indonesia and Krakatu tour + Cave at Muna-Sulawesi with the kite painting

[Oshkosh] The Pacesetters Running Club is sponsoring a Family Fun Run starting at 5:00 - 7:00 pm at County Park in Oshkosh. The event organizers are hoping that the kiters would also attend and fill the sky with colorful kites to add to the excitement. It’s a great family event.

Please note that the running course starts and finished by the soccer fields...so perhaps this would be a good location to stake ground displays, etc.

[Glencoe, IL] A WHOLE NEW EXPERIENCE!! Chicago Botanic Garden..August 11 & 12th! KSWI in partnership with Gift of Wings and the Chicago Botanic Garden presents our Third Annual Kite Festival at the Garden, Featuring The Chicago Fire, Josh and Zak Gordon, Brett Williams, Dan Jones, Dan Newman, Mike Delfar, Ann Vondriska Brinnehl, and Paul Koepke and Kathy Brinnehl. Featuring performances from Fire and Ice, and Somthing Old, Something new. A highlite of the weekend will be Charlie Sotich and his kite making workshop for the kids of Chicago. The festival will be located in a relatively small flying field, West of the main entrance. Kite flyers will have one nice area to fly during this event. The times are 10:00 am noon until 5:00 pm each day. The gardens were voted as the third best attraction in the Chicagoland area, so plan to spend the entire day flying kites and visiting this beautiful Park. This is our second annual event and we want to make a very good impression. Their is a small parking fee. This is another wonderful kite flying event brought to you by the Kite Society of Wisconsin & Illinois, and your friends at Gift of Wings.....Watch for more events coming soon to the Chicagoland area . [Lisbon] Kite Summer Festival’07 powered by Opel Astra Sport is the 2nd edition of the Portuguese Kitesurf Event with more riders ever done in Portugal. It consists in a range of activities, in and out of the water, where the kitecross will be the main event, opened to Portuguese and foreign riders.
The KSF’07 will happen during the weekend of 18th and 19th of August of 2007, in Nova Vaga Beach, Costa da Caparica, in the same place that the 1st edition. This date was chosen to fulfill the tradition of closing the competition season in Portugal.

[Washington] Our “it’s too darn hot” Night Fly. We will meet for pizza (feel free to bring extra snacks) at 6 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. There will also be a free family movie of Charlotte’s Web set up at the fairgrounds that evening, but the city is thrilled to have us offering pre-show entertainment. We’re welcomed to continue flying during and after the movie. If you’ve never been to a night fly, this is a great opportunity to try one out.
