[Wildwood] On the beach between E Hand Ave and E Burk Ave and the Wildwoods Convention Center, the 32nd annual Wildwoods International Kite Festival begins on Friday at noon with the Unlocking of the Ocean ceremony outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following include opening of the Kite Sales Tent, Friday Night Social via the local South Jersey Kite Flyers Club (all-you-can-eat buffet for $10 per person), and the 9:00pm Illuminated Night Kite Fly. Saturday and Sunday include sport kite demo’s, team flying and family games. Monday features the World Indoor Kite Competition inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. FREE to spectators. [Kenosha] The Tour De Kites Continues..... The 16th annual THE SHORE "Outta Sight Kite Flight" will be held on June 3rd & June 4th, 2017, 10 am until 5 pm. This free event will be held in Kennedy Park on Kenosha’s beautiful lakefront. Sponsored by THE SHORE 92.1, 1400 WRJN, and Magnum Radio, The Kenosha News, the City of Kenosha, Gift of Wings, and The Kite Society of Wisconsin & Illinois. Featured performers include Chicago Fire Kite Team, CONNOR & AMY DORAN Jean Lemire, Josh Gordon, Paul Koepke, Fire & Ice, O1, Brett Williams as the Kite Whisperer, Mike Delfar, the Giant Kites of Yves Laforest, flown by Alex and the Canadian Dream Team, and the kites of Charlie Sotich, built and sponsored by the Kenosha News. Special thanks to The Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois and Gift of Wings. The Cityof Kenosha Kids Mad Dash at 2:30 pm both days. For the second time ever, Connor Doran & Jean Lemire, and Paul Koepke will be flying indoor routines at several Middle Schools in Kenosha.
         
[Placerville ] Kites – Food – Drink – Entertainment – Raffle – Fun
This celebration honors the 148th anniversary of the first Japanese colony in America who arrived at Gold Hill on June 8, 1869. American River Conservancy honors these early pioneers with a kite festival. Our kite festival includes entertainment, food and beer for purchase, a few booths, and a raffle. Bring your single-line kite, buy a new kite, or make your own kite to fly. Picnics are welcome, and bring along a chair. Proceeds will be used to the care for the historic Keyaki tree planted by the Wakamatsu colonists. $10 per car, additional for passenger vans and buses.
Performers & vendors include: Koyasan Taiko, Kohaku, Sarpika Tribal Dance, Butchers Kitchen, Julz Ice Cream, Old City Kites, Global Goods LLC., Good Earth Movement, face painting, origami, and more!
 
[Rockaway Beach] Sponsored by the American Kitefliers Association, the annual Rockaway Beach Kite Festival features professional and amateur kite fliers for the 20th year at the new Ocean’s Edge Wayside. The American Kitefliers Association is the largest organized group of kiters in the world and travels all over to spread the joy of kiting to people of all ages and skills. The event offers contests in a friendly, unofficial environment. Participants can compete to win awards for having the nicest kite, the kite that drags on the ground the longest before becoming airborne, and many other events. Children can join in the fun as they build and learn to fly small kites during special classes.
Anyone who wants to bring their own kite to fly is welcome and encouraged to do so. The Rockaway Beach Kite Festival also features live music, kite exhibitions, an array of vendors, and tasty meals all weekend. Come hungry, and bring a camera to photograph the beautiful kites that will grace the skies along the beach at the Ocean’s Edge Wayside.

[St-Honoré-de-Chicoutimi] Saint-Honoré dans l’Vent International kite festival will be held June 16th to 18th at Saint-Honoré local airport, in Saguenay. Over the years, the festival has become the biggest event of it’s kind in Quebec. Guests kite flyers from Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, the US and Canada will be attending as well as many talented local kite enthusiasts. Stunt-kites, inflatables, giants, power and indoor kites are just a few of the variety of kites that the public will come to see.
The event is well known for it’s numerous family activities including: inflatable games, mascots, kite building workshops and scientific experiences about air, wind and meteorology.
Friday night, the town of Saint-Honoré will lighten up for the opening night presenting an outdoor supper and concerts, with breathtaking fireworks as the finishing note. Saturday night, a ballet of kites in the nights will be presented on music themes of “Heros from the sky”. A unique experience that everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime!

[ANN ARBOR] The Ann Arbor Kite Festival will off an opportunity for families to celebrate the end of the school year at an uplifting event. The kite festival is being organized by GrieveWell a local nonprofit organization working to build a community of hope and healing for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one.

[San Diego] Indoor fly with Electric Model Flyers
[Edmond] The 2017 KiteFest will be located on the far west side of Mitch Park. We will be flying between mile roads Covell and Coffee Creek on North Santa Fe. The Kite Festival will include many events for the experienced flyer as well as the novice. We will paint the sky with hundreds of kites flown by anyone who wants to “go fly a kite.” So bring, make or buy a kite and fly it.
         
[Lincoln City] The Summer Kite Festival is held on the beach in the center of Lincoln City at the D-River Wayside from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival welcomes an impressive cast of Celebrity Kite Flyers each year to present an incredible array of kites against the beautiful Saskatchewan sky. Over 40 national and international stars of kite performing and kite-making annually attend Windscape, most of whom have flown at some of the most prestigious and largest festivals in the world.
Along with the fantastic lineup of kite artist and flyers, the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival features a wide variety of activated for children and families. The TD Bank Children’s Tent offers many opportunities to keep kids of all ages entertained and engaged. There is a bubble station, balloon sculpting, a straw bale maze, a “Flying Dragon” booth and face-painting offered to people of all ages. The most popular activity at Windscape is the Kite Building Workshops, where everyone can create a custom made kite. With the assistance of skilled volunteers, both children and adults can construct a simple sled or bird-shaped kite guaranteed to fly.
There is no admission to come and enjoy the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival, and visitors receive a free festival program and passport upon arrival. There is plenty to do at Windscape, but it is still recommended to take the time to sit back and enjoy the sky filled with color and characters. Bring a chair and join Swift Current in watching the parade of interesting kite performances and artistic masterpieces as they take over the vast Saskatchewan skies.

Bring your kites or purchase them from My Wind Stuff located on site, also displaying mega kites, stunt kite flying and lessons, parachute races for the kids approximately at 1pm each day.
